WEDNESDAY LUNCH

For more than 25 years, Central has served a hot, nutritious, and delicious lunch for our neighbors. Known simply as “Wednesday Lunch,” this program allows us to get to know, pray with, and of course, share a meal with our neighbors.

Central is located in Old Louisville, an urban neighborhood with no grocery store and a high rate of poverty. Many of our neighbors are elderly or disabled and have a hard time cooking for themselves.

On Wednesdays, we open our doors to whomever is looking for a good meal and fellowship. We have a dedicated crew of volunteers who cook and serve the meals, which include an entree, sides and a dessert. We are proud to serve our neighbors with dignity, providing them a sit-down meal with dishes and silverware.

We serve about 5,000 people a year and are entirely donor-sponsored.
